Desiree L. Lauricella is an associate attorney with Belongia, Shapiro & Franklin, LLP. She joined the firm in 2011 as a law clerk and became an associate attorney later that year. Her professional experience has spanned the areas of commercial and residential real estate transactions and litigation, banking related matters, business formation, foreclosures, debt collection, personal injury law, and fair housing law. Desiree received her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School in 2011 and was a member of the Dean’s List. As a student, she was the Alumni Relations Chair of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions, member of the Justinian Society of Lawyers, and participated in mentoring incoming first-year students. Desiree worked part-time as a law clerk and was an intern at the John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Support Center and Clinic. She was a member of the Moot Court Team and was a Quarterfinalist at the National Cultural Heritage Moot Court Competition in 2011. Desiree received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2008 with a double major in Psychology and Women’s Studies. While there, Desiree was a writing tutor for undergraduates and student-athletes at the Sweetland Writing Center, Peer Academic Advisor at Michigan’s College of Literature, Science & the Arts, member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Development Coordinator of Dance Marathon at Michigan, and founding member of the Michigan Italian-American Association. |
