Sulejman F. Dizdarevic is an associate attorney with Belongia, Shapiro & Franklin, LLP. He joined the firm in 2008. Sulejman has practiced law in the Chicago area since his graduation from law school in 2006. His professional experience has spanned in the areas of commercial and civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Sulejman worked as an attorney for Stetler and Duffy, Ltd., where he was a member of a trial defense team representing a defendant in a 10-week long highly complex white-collar crime case.
Sulejman graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2006. As a student, he was a member of the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court competition team that won the regional championship and finished in the top quarter at the international championship in 2005. Also, Sulejman studied comparative business and constitutional law at the prestigious Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. While in law school, he was a recipient of the University of Minnesota Law School Scholarship. Sulejman received his B.A., with honors, majoring in political science from the University of Michigan in 2003. While in college, he was a recipient of the Köthe-Hildner Scholarship. A native of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sulejman immigrated to the United States in 1998. Prior to coming to the U.S., Sulejman also lived in Hamburg, Germany, where he worked for a law firm Bertlesmann und Gäbert, as well as Croatia and Hungary. He speaks fluent German and Bosnian (Croatian, Serbian). |
