Vildana Kujundjic is a partner at Belongia, Shapiro & Franklin, LLP who works on both transactional and litigation matters. An experienced business and corporate attorney, Vildana represents clients in the areas of business law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and various other types of business relationships. Vildana structures, negotiates and advises individuals and companies on a broad range of business transactions, including asset and stock dispositions, joint ventures, private placements, venture capital transactions, fund formations, strategic alliances, shareholder arrangements, ownership succession and transfer, including buy-sell agreements, and a variety of other transactions. In addition to advising her clients on general business matters, she also counsels her clients on choice-of-entity considerations including creating, structuring, and financing various business entities such as corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies, daily business operations, and governance.
Vildana works with a diverse group of clients encompassing a number of industries and market segments, representing individuals, small to mid-size businesses, private equity funds, limited partners and other private investors. Vildana’s clients also include not-for-profit and women- and minority-owned businesses. She has particular experience in helping clients obtain certification as a 501c(3) not-for profit corporation, Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) or Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). Vildana also represents clients in civil and commercial litigation, including contract disputes, fraud claims, tort litigation and breach of fiduciary duty claims. She has represented clients in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and in Illinois state court. In addition to practicing at some of the leading law firms in Chicago, Vildana served as law clerk to Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. |
